I was given this storage ottoman for the specific use of storing my copious amount of knitting work. I think it is 1930's-1940's as it came from my fiances grandmothers house. I have no idea what sort of fabric to cover it in, but I was thinking as it will probably stay in the living room where most of my knitting mess is...that it should probably match the couch and rug and the lamp. I have a chestnut brown and white roving handmade rug and a dark grey/black couch with brownish pin stripes through it and the lamp is a very 1960's lamp in an off white/beige colour. I think the ottoman should have some sort of texture to it to match everything else...hmm i'm so bad at decorating on a shoe string I usually find stuff that if restored would look nice but i tend to just not get round to it.
